What we collect
- Research account details you give us: name, email, and phone number. We ask for a phone number because we confirm batch availability by phone before anything ships. We do not ask for or store a password, and access is tied to your email address.
- The research use attestation, including when you agreed to it and which version you agreed to.
- Request lists and quote requests, including the compounds, quantities, preferred call time, and any notes you add.
- Emails submitted to the newsletter, the guide download, the quiz, or the contact form, along with your quiz answers. The full answers are deleted after 90 days, as described below.
- Messages you send the research assistant, and any contact details you give it when asking for a call back.
Why we collect it
To verify that research material is going to research users, to call you back about a request, to send the reading list or guide you asked for, and to notify you when a compound you follow is back in stock. The attestation record exists so we can demonstrate that verification happened.
What we will not do
- Sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
- Add you to unrelated marketing lists.
- Share your research interests with third parties for advertising.
Who processes data for us
We use service providers to run the site: a database and authentication provider, an email delivery provider, a hosting provider, and an AI provider that powers the research assistant. Each processes data only to deliver its service. Assistant conversations are sent to the AI provider to generate a reply.
Retention
Account records and attestations are kept while the account is active and for as long as needed to meet record keeping obligations. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Full quiz answers are deleted automatically 90 days after you give them.
Your choices
Every marketing email carries a one click unsubscribe. You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to send you a copy of what we hold, by writing to research@responsebiolabs.com. Deleting your account removes access to pricing.
Health information
We are not a healthcare provider and this site is not a place for health information. Please do not send us details about your own or anyone else's medical condition. If you do, we will delete it.
How we handle your data, specifically
Most of this policy is the language every site has. These four are choices we actually built, and you can verify them.
- Our emails name nothing.A restock notice says an item on your watchlist is available. It does not say which compound, what it costs, or how much you asked about. The details render here, behind your login, so your research does not sit in a third party mail provider's logs.
- What you research is stored apart from who you are.Your contact details and your research interests live in separate tables joined by an internal id, and we store a topic code rather than anything you typed. Somebody who obtained one of them would have a mailing list, not a profile of you.
- Your quiz answers expire. The full set of answers is deleted automatically after 90 days. We keep only the broad category, because that is all we need to decide what to send you.
- Sign-in mail and newsletters are separate systems.A problem with one cannot stop the other, so a marketing complaint can never lock you out of your own account.
None of this is us hiding information from you. Everything about your own account is visible to you the moment you sign in. It is about not broadcasting it across systems neither of us controls.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and we keep your request list in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload. We do not run advertising or cross site tracking pixels.
